Easy to use
Although I Can Animate is packed with features, the key to its design is to ensure it is as easy to use as possible, ensuring you'll have great fun creating your own animated movies.
Chroma Key with ease
Adding a real life background has never been easier. Just film your movie sequence in front of a blue or green screen, select the frame you want to apply your background to, and load in your image file. I Can Animate supports a wide range of image formats including jpg, gif, bmp, png and pdf. By moving the image or zooming in on different frames, I Can Animate can tween the image to give the effect of a moving background.
Drawing Layer
Want to include an object flying through the air but don't want the string you're using to be visible, or do you have a frame with a hand in the way? Why not use the in-built drawing tool to draw around the object and then fill it with the same colour as the background? You can even use the drawing tool to put together 2D animations if you like!
Onion skin multiple frames
I Can Animate's onion skin feature allows you to view the last captured frame whilst simultaneously previewing the live feed coming from the camera. This enables you to ensure that movements you make are consistent, and of course, if you knock the camera, realigning the image is much easier! I Can Animate will onion skin up to five frames consecutively including the live feed.
Multiple cameras supported
Whether you're shooting the latest Hollywood blockbuster, or just filming for fun, you're bound to find a camera in your budget that works with I Can Animate. From Apple's built in iSight, to USB Webcams or even Firewire DV cameras - the choice is yours!
Copy frames seamlessly
Don't waste time filming repeated sequences. With I Can Animate, the duplicate frames feature allows you to copy selections of frames, and even reverse the order, so filming a sequence like a hand wave can be executed much easier and quicker, saving you time and effort.
Time Lapse
Whether you want to film a stunning sun set, or a plant growing, I Can Animate's time lapse facility means you can shoot single frames at a set rate over an unlimited time period, and then watch it back in a fraction of the time.
Share at the click of a mouse
Once you have captured your frames you can share your finished movie in a range of file sizes so you can run it in full quality, or have it compressed to a size which can be uploaded to the web or emailed. You can even share as an iMovie project so you can get straight on with editing!
