Copy Xbox 360 Games to Hard Drive

Rumors about Xbox 360 consoles damaging games have led people to find ways to copy Xbox 360 games to hard drive. Direct storage of the game is possible on Xbox hard drive or a separate hard drive. However, the latter is more difficult and riskier.

Copy Xbox 360 games to the Xbox Hard Drive

1.) Download software called "DVD2XBOX" to the Xbox 360 console. After installation, the software should show in the Xbox dashboard under the "Applications".

2.) Open the installed program and choose a game to place into the console. Go to "Settings" with the white controller button and enable drives F and G. Then, push the back button.

3.) Press the "A button" of the controller after this message appears at the bottom of the screen: "DVD: XBOX Software". Choose from drives E, F or G and the "games subdirectory you want to copy the game to and press the "A button".

4.) Press the "Start" button to start copying. After the copying is done, a confirmation will appear onscreen and you can exit the program.

Copy Xbox 360 Games to a Separate Hard Drive

1.) With an Ethernet cable, connect the console to your PC. On your PC, create an FTP window and copy the games using the FTP.

2.) The copied games should then be converted to ISO files. Free software should help you with this (ISO or Qwik).

3.) The ISO files can then be burned onto a DVD-R, DVD-RW, or CD-RW for a backup copy of the game. DVD burning software is also required to make the discs compatible with the Xbox. Nero's Burning ROM or Alcohol 120 are examples of burning software programs.

Why You Should Improve Your DVD and Video Game Packaging

Many manufacturers of games are working very hard to produce cool and enticing packaging for their DVDs and CDs. Even so, there are a few who do not even care for this particular aspect. Well, if you're into this business, you should seriously consider improving your packaging's design. There's a very large chance that the DVD or game you produce will be used and kept for a long period of time.

According to a study by the Entertainment Merchant's Association (EMA) and CDSA, or Content Delivery and Storage Association in 2008, buyers of game DVDs and CDs store their entertainment media in their original cases. This study was also conducted by the NPD Group.

The said study also found out that when these people get tired of their video games or DVDs, they don't throw them away or recycle them all the time. They prefer to sell it or give it away.

According to the President/CEO of EMA, consumers look at a home entertainment's packaging case as a vital part of the product and not trash. To them, the casing gives protection to the product, allowing easy identification of the title. They have the artwork that is important to the association of the consumer with the video games' or DVDs' titles.

88% of those who own video games and 89% of DVD owners put their discs in the original cases. On the other hand, 8% of game owners and 5% of those who have DVDs put their media in plastic sleeves, but still put away the original cases.

There's only 5% of video game players and 6% of DVD watchers who either recycle or throw away the cases.

When the time comes when they don't like the title anymore, 24% of gamers and 45% of those who own DVDs give the title away to someone else. On the other hand, 17% (gamers) and 20% (DVDs) just put away the discs for later use.

· The study also showed different interesting things, such as:

· There's unwrapped product in the households of video game and DVD owners.

· An average household with a DVD collection has 114 DVDs.

· There are 48 game titles in an average video game collection.

· There are unopened DVDs in 26% of the household surveyed

· 11% of households have unopened game titles.

If you ever decide to enter the DVD or video game disc printing and duplication business, think of these interesting statistics. It will greatly affect the equipment and disc packaging materials you're going to use. It will also inspire you to be more creative and be more resourceful. After all, you want to make sure that you only give the best to your audiences.

Sing your Times Tables with Percy Parker - Home User CD-ROM

Sing your Times Tables with Percy Parker - Home User CD-ROM review

Sing your times tables with Percy Parker is an exciting alternative to traditional methods of learning the times tables. Children join in with the charismatic Percy Parker and his band as they sing entertaining, memorable songs about each times table. Singing is not only fun but by repeating the multiplication facts throughout the song children will be memorising their times tables. To aid learning, number sentences and multiplication grids are displayed on-screen during the songs. A comprehensive workbook accompanies the CD-ROM and provides learning ideas and photocopiable worksheets that will support the learning of times tables.

Excellent5
My son had trouble with his times tables until he was introduced to this program at school - and it worked brilliantly! It isn't just a CD - it comes with an 80 odd ring bound book with music, lyrics and worksheet - excellent value for money!

good buy5
our daughter aged seven, really enjoyed it and it wasnt too bad to listen to with her...for a short time!

One of the few CD Rom's that really is suitable for this age group5
I bought this title originally over 10 years ago for my eldest daughter and have just bought it again to get a copy more suited to Windows XP - it really is that good, and it is the only CD Rom I have found that I would think is truly suitable for young children. We have had others that have just been too difficult without a lot of help, either with the activity or with the necessary mouse skills. In Jump Ahead the activities are simple enough to enable 3-4 year olds to be able to tackle them as well as having to learn to use the mouse. The items to click on are suitably large and well defined. The activities are challenging enough without being too difficult. The instructions are clearly said. (though be warned, the tunes may stick in your head!) The whole Jump Ahead series is brilliant, and I thoroughly recommend this as an introduction to using a computer.

Great buy5
My daughter is 3 and just loves this, she knows most of the words and sits for as long as we'll allow switching from task to task.

does not work vista or windows71
DO NOT BUY THIS DVD if your OS is windows vista or windows 7--it made my computer crash several times, and the online support was inadequate. A shame, since it looks to be a nice product, and my daughter enjoyed it before it destroyed my computer

How to Backup 360 Games - Software Review

Are you curious as to how to backup 360 games? If you're like me you've struggled with game discs getting scratched, lost or even stolen. It's a pretty crappy feeling when the $60 game you just bought is essentially useless.

The answer to this problem is a specialized software package that shows you how to backup 360 games quickly and easily. This software allows you to make identical backups of the games you already own to any writable CD or DVD media. The mistake many people make is they try to copy their game discs using the standard DVD/CD burning software already installed on their computers, but this doesn't work. Every game has encrypted copy protection safe guards on it to prevent dubious individuals from making copies of games. You need specialized software to break the encryption so that you can backup your games.

I'm not talking about making illegal copies for re-sale or downloading games from the net either. Doing either of these things are illegal and immoral. However, if you own the game you have the right to make additional copies for your own personal use. After all, if your original game disc gets lost, stolen or simply destroyed, it's nice to have a backup copy nearby that you can just plop into your console.

Like everyone else, I'm always looking for a good deal. So the first thing I did was look for software that showed me how to backup 360 games....for free. There's tons of "free" software on the net that promises to show you how to backup your games, but most of it is bogus. The truth is, if you attempt to download any of the so called "free software" 9 times out of 10 you'll also download an unfriendly virus as well. I know this because it's happened to me (on several occasions during my search).

I personally have "lost" so many games over the years that I've lost track. Our cat used a couple as a scratching post, a relatives child destroyed 1 or 2, and one game simply disappeared and hasn't been seen since. After the last scratched game, I became determined to find an easy to use and reliable software that would give me the ability to backup my 360 games and I'm happy to say I did.

This software will not only show you how to backup 360 games, but it will also show you how to backup games for Xbox, PS2, PS3, Nintendo Wii, Gamecube, and even Dreamcast. Copying is as simple as putting the game disc in your computer launching the software, clicking a few buttons, putting the blank DVD or CD into your computer and then....done! You now have an exact copy of your original game disc. The whole process only takes a few minutes.

On one separate occasion I did have an issue where after I burned a DVD, the sound cut out while I was playing. However, I think this may have been due to my DVD burner improperly burning the disc. I re-burned the disc and it was fine. Since then, I've backed up dozens of games and each one has worked flawlessly.

By using this software and learning how to backup 360 games you never have to worry about your games being scratched, stolen or lost. If any of these things happen to your game discs, you can just pull out a backup copy and pick up right where you left off. I'd highly recommend this software to anyone looking for a quick and easy way to back up their games.

This software has probably saved me several hundred dollars in game replacement costs. It's cheap and easy to use. Go here if you want learn how to backup 360 games.

How To Copy PS3 Games - Copying PS3 Games Software

The release of the Playstation 3 console (a.k.a PS3) has certainly taken gaming to another level. The PS3 has transformed gaming with breathtaking graphics and super fast processing power that only a few years ago were found on IBM super computers. With all this technology offered by the PS3, gaming has certainly taken on a new meaning. However these capabilities come at a cost especially when you consider purchasing games, if these games get damaged you can pay 60 to 100 dollars to replace them. To prevent this you can copy PS3 games thus protecting your originals.

If you look on the internet or participate in PS3 gaming forums you'll find lots of information of this topic. You most likely have dvd burner software already on your PC but you'll find that when you insert your PS3 game into the burner, the software won't recognise it.

Fortunately there this software out there that can backup PS3 games, the process is quite simple, all you need is a PC with dvd burner and special PS3 copying software. Another thing to take into consideration is the brand of blank dvds to copy ps3 games. I personally like Sony or Verbatim and have had good results with these. Using cheap dvd blanks can result in loss of quality of your PS3 copies.

To burn PS3 games, firstly put the game into the dvd burner and select the option (which is found in most dvd burner software) to create a image of the game. This process can take about 20-30 minutes depending on the computers CPU and dvd burner speed. After the image is created remove the PS3 game and in insert a blank dvd into your dvd burner and copy the PS3 game image onto the blank dvd.

It should take 10 to 20 minutes to burn PS3 games to blank dvd its easier than you think!

Burning you PS3 games has its benefits and can save you lots of money and in a matter of hours you can have all your PS3 games backed up allowing you to preserve your originals.

Xbox 360 DVD Drive Errors - Learn How to Fix This Problem Now

Everyone that owns an Xbox 360 has had some sort of problem with it. If you are saying not me, well just wait. The Open Tray Error is quickly becoming a big problem for a lot of people. But there is just not a lot of good information on how to fix it the right way. With these tips you will be able to learn how to find correct fixes for all Xbox 360 DVD Drive Errors.

If your console is under warranty you need to send you unit back to Microsoft. Once you open your unit you will void your warranty. If you want to do it yourself then you need to remember a few things.

First, do not believe everything on the internet. Some people have found ways to repair a video game console that is not always a reliable or good for the Xbox. Do not try the first thing you see done on YouTube. I have seen a few videos on how not to fix an Xbox 360 for this reason. You can watch Xbox 360 Repair Gone Way wrong video or there is another video with a kid tapping on the top of the console to fix the Open Tray Error.

Next, do not buy the first repair guide you see. Some of these are only a few pages long and deal with very general 360 DVD Errors. Look for one that covers every Drive. Samsung, Hitachi, Lite On, and Benq. Make sure it covers drive specific problems and fixes for each type of DVD Drive. Also make sure for each drive type that it covers how to fix the Open Tray, Play DVD, and Unreadable disc errors.

Finally, remember that if you do not have any technical knowledge it's ok. With a good repair guide you will not need any. They walk you through step by step and have pictures or videos included. But how do you know that this repair will work? The hardest thing about Xbox 360 DVD Drives are the troubleshooting. So I would recommend talking to an expert in this area or the author of the repair guide. Most people are not willing going to tell you for nothing. But you can start out by saying "My console is doing... would your guide be able to fix this with this certain type of drive. The answer most likely will be yes. Just make sure they offer a money back. Ask them up front if they offer any type of assistance after the purchase if you run into any problems.

When your video game console DVD unit quits working most of the time it can be repaired very easily. If you follow these steps when trying to repair your Xbox 360 DVD error than you should have no problem getting yours back up and running in no time.
